  1. Does it feel like there may be a lack of air flow in your vents?
  2. Does someone smoke in your home?
  3. Does someone in your home have allergies, upper respiratory problems or asthma?
  4. Does someone in your home suffer from headaches, nasal congestion, or other issues with breathing at night or in the morning?
  5. Do you have furry animals in your home?
  6. Is there dust on your furniture right after cleaning?
  7. Has anyone in your home noticed “musty” or “stale” odor when the furnace or air conditioner runs?

What could be happening in your home is dust, dirt, pollen, animal dander, and other airborne contaminants are pulled into your duct system throughout the course of its lifetime. A build up inside the ductwork starts making your duct system a potential breeding ground for mold spores, bacteria, fungus, mildew, and other microbes.

Concerning Indoor Air Quality Commercial or Residential

Think of the heating and cooling system in your commercial space or home as the lungs. The heating and cool system takes in air and breathes it out. Daily living and use of these systems mean a great deal of contaminants and air pollutants, such as dander, dust, and more start to built up. These contaminants are pulled into the HVAC system and re-circulated 5 to 7 times per day, on average. Over time, this re-circulation causes a build-up of contaminants in the duct work.

While dirty ducts don’t necessarily mean unhealthy air, they may contribute to larger health issues or harboring contaminants that could cause serious problems for people with respiratory health conditions, autoimmune disorders or some environmental allergies. How often do you think about what might need to be cleaned inside your walls? Air ducts serve as vital pathways that deliver warm and cool air throughout your home or facility and need to be properly maintained.
