Mohr’s Cleaning Process
- Interior Protection – We have the utmost respect for your home, and property. Our technicians make every effort to protect your walls and flooring. Drop clothes and corner guards are common practice for us while in your home or business. We always remove our shoes to reassure you that we will leave your home clean.
- Access Holes – In order to gain access to the interior of the duct system we will need to cut an eight-inch hole in both the supply & return of ductwork. This eight-inch hole is so that we can hook our vacuum system to your ductwork to remove the debris that is inside. We will also drill 1 3/8-inch holes in the ductwork to utilize for our 12 different cleaning tools that we have. We have special tools for any type of ductwork including flex ductwork! When we are finished, vacuum access holes are covered with special made metal plates that are secured with screws and taped on all four sides to ensure an airtight seal. The tool holes will have snap plugs inserted in them to also insure an airtight seal. All these access holes can also be used again in the future if we earn your business again!
- Vacuum Hook-up – Our truck mounted 23HP gas vacuum units have the capability of producing over 6,000 CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute). Most competitors in our industry use portable electric units which are only capable of producing between 500 and 2,500 CFM of vacuum. Everything that we remove from the ductwork is contained and filtered outside in our truck mounted vacuum system rather than it being filtered inside the home.
- Openings are covered – All registers are covered during the cleaning process to help contain the areas that we are working on.
- Cleaning tools – These are truly the heart of the cleaning system. Depending on the condition and construction of the ductwork, either brushes, directional nozzles, or a combination of both will be used to remove the debris from the ductwork.
- Lateral runs and main trunk lines – Scrubbing tools are used on branches and then mains to ensure all debris is removed and collected from the duct system.
